A easy card magic trick--Daseng Magic Magical Touch
Prior to your display, take six cards out of the deck, memorize them and place them in your pocket. When you are ready to show off your trick, have someone else shuffle the deck. When the person is done, place the deck in your pocket under the cards that are in your pocket. Tell a joke or something to fill the time. Then have the audience member check, while you name the top six cards on the deck. For an added flair, do this trick blindfolded.
Pick a Card, Any Card
This is a classic magic trick. Have an audience member shuffle the deck. When he or she passes it back to you, glance at the bottom card of the deck; this will be your key card. Have your audience member choose a card from the deck, and remember what was picked. Place the card on the bottom of the deck, and have the audience member cut the deck as many times as he or she wishes. The card that he or she chose will be the card directly under your key card.
The Rub
Place one card of two different suits on the bottom of a deck. Show the bottom card to your audience. You can then tell your audience that you will magically change the suit of the card. With the deck in one hand, use your other hand to cover the cards. Appear to rub the cards while using your fingers to slide the top card up slightly and using your palm to slide the second card down. When you rub back in an upward motion, slide the second card over top of the first card. Voila. You've magically changed the suit. It is more dramatic when you use suits of opposite colors.
The 25 Card Trick
Separate 25 cards from the remainder of the deck. Lay them out in stacks of five on the table. Have an audience member select one of the cards and tell you in which pile it is placed. Stack the cards, making sure to keep the stack with the chosen card in the middle. Lay out the cards again in stacks of five, and again ask the audience member in which stack his or her card is placed. Collect the cards once more making sure to keep the audience member's card in the middle. This card will be the 13th card in the pile.
It is important to remember to practice these tricks until you are confident before you perform them. Also, don't ever tell your audience how you did the trick. You'll spoil the mystery for them.
